'CROSSED CULTURES' BY PORFIDIO
(REGULAR STOCK ITEM)
is the ideal choice for fine tequila drinkers who appreciate the unique flavor of the blue agave plant, but consider the customary alcohol content of 100% agave tequila to be too strong. Bottled at a cool 24.7% alcohol by volume, 'The Suave by Porfidio' is inspired by Japanese-style shochu, but created from 100% Blue Agave instead of rice or potatoes. “The Suave by Porfidio” is the perfect accompaniment to your meal, especially Japanese dishes. “The Suave by Porfidio” is best enjoyed with your meal when mixed 50/50 with chilled, non-carbonated spring water, on the rocks.
PRODUCT DIFFERENTIATION POINTS:
• 'The Suave by Porfidio' is made from first-growth 100% Blue Agave from the geographically delimited Jalisco region in Mexico, and is therefore a Super-Jalisco.
• 'The Suave by Porfidio' is made from cold-pressed agave juice giving less than half the methanol content of the industry average for 100% Agave Tequila®.
• The cold-pressed agave juice is enzymatically hydrolized (not thermally hydrolized)
• 'The Suave by Porfidio' is distilled with state-of-the-art Holstein still.
• 'The Suave by Porfidio' is classified as Anejo.
• 'The Suave by Porfidio' is aged in hand-toasted virgin oak barrels.
'The Suave by Porfidio' is continuously aged in virgin oak barrels for the entire ageing period, not simply processed with a
• virgin oak barrel finish.
• 'The Suave by Porfidio' is ocean-matured, in a Tour-Du-Monde.
• The result: Something entirely innovative - both to the world of Shochu and Tequila – a fusion of a native Mexican plant with a refined Japanese production concept.
